The majority of the settlements established within a six mile radius of Bicester fall within the Ploughley Hundred. A few villages lie within the Bullingdon and Wootton Hundreds in Oxfordshire or the Ashendon and Buckingham Hundreds located in the neighbouring County of Buckinghamshire.
